the special house is a charming artist designed sanctuary in ettalong beach, an original 1940s cottage updated with with a unique, wabi sabi informed design approach and thoughtfully curated vintage pieces.

we invite you to experience the simple pleasures in life. cooking and coffee, lazing in the deck chairs, strolling down to the water, wood fires and outdoor showers, down time with your loved ones.

the kitchen has been hand built, featuring the japanese shou sugi ban technique. it’s a foodie’s kitchen, a delight to cook in, and looks out onto the herb garden and porch.

ettalong beach is a 1hr 20 min drive from sydney cbd - up the m1 freeway and through the national park. or catch the ferry from palm beach and stroll 15 mins along the bay and up beach street.
